A Lucid Dream Walk Through To Explore Your Dreams

By Patrick Cook

You'll definitely want to remember that this is something that is completely different from just controlling your dreams. When you are controlling everything that is going on and focusing just on that aspect, you can surely have a fantastic time living out your wildest dreams, going to your favorite fictional words, and basically doing anything else you want. Those who are looking for a lucid dream walk through are going to find something a little bit different in that they will be learning how to become aware of what is happening so that they can observe and explore rather than control.

If you are someone who wears a watch often, you can look at that from time to time in order to make sure this is reality and not a dream. In so doing, you will be more likely to lucid dream. This because if you do the same check-up while you are sleeping, the numbers on the clock or watch will appear distorted or incorrect.

The most simple thing that you can ask yourself throughout your day is if this is in fact real life or if you are only dreaming. That way, once you enter your session of dreaming for the night, you will probably ask yourself that same question just out of sheer habit. It doesn't take long to figure out that the world around you does not seem real at all, and you can then further explore it with complete awareness.

If you have never kept a dream diary or journal, it is always a great time to start. That way, you will be able to see clearly what is going on while you are sleeping. When you see it all in writing, it makes you more prone to recognize that you are dreaming the next time you go to sleep.

One slightly rare way of entering this type of state is to go directly from being awake to being in the dreaming state. You will, in that way, have an easier time controlling your awareness. The trick is simply to start dreaming without actually falling asleep first, which takes a good deal of practice and meditation.

People experience this type of thing very commonly when they are already dreaming. All it takes is the right kind of stimulus to suddenly make you aware of the reality of the situation. Once you finally do, it just gets easier and easier.

Something you can do every night before bed is tell yourself that you will lucid dream. This does not just mean saying it in your head. It means saying it out loud so you can actually hear it in your own voice and feel yourself saying it.

Some people find looking at their hands to be an effective reality check. Hands are so complex, detailed, and recognizable to their owners that you will definitely be able to tell if they are real hands or not. The more you stare at your hands, the better you'll get at doing this.
